Summer in the Shire (2022)

What are we brewing up?

This isn’t like our typical Winter Village build event. Summer in the Shire is an at-your-own-pace survival build and chill extravaganza running June to September, 2022. Take your time and use the /shire command to wander the rolling hillsides, wintry mountain peaks, and forest glades we’ve set aside as the perfect place to realize your best hobbit, dwarf, or elven dream dwellings. J.R.R. Tolkien inspired generations of nerds like us, who wish to enjoy some fantasy, magic, and friendship. General build areas are not protected, so please be respectful of your neighbours and if you envision a large project, spread out to take advantage of the expansive biomes.

TL;DR: Build a Tolkien themed dwelling at your own pace, in an area we’ve picked for the theme. It’s in survival-mode, good luck! 😊

/shire - warp point to the local tavern

/mineworld - need a bunch of resources? Terracotta gotcha down? This area is meant to be destroyed and is regularly pruned to refresh resources. Mine away, don’t worry about environmental destruction.

/hub - takes you to the spawn area, full of NPCs, inspiring builds, and warp points.

This is a themed community event. If you would like to join the server long-term, please consider building your “forever base” in another location.

To reduce server-lag, we ask players to avoid adding too many entities into their builds.
