General Rules
PvP Rules
PvP is enabled by default but you must obtain consent before engaging in PvP-like actions. Most server-managed locations
This rule also applies to intentionally trying to kill users in non-PvP zones, which is not allowed.
Griefing is not allowed.
Griefing is the act of changing or destroying another player’s structures, buildings or creations without prior consent. Even if something is in an unprotected area, it is not an invitation to modify or destroy the creation.
Cheating is not tolerated.
Cheating, of any kind, is not allowed. Cheating is considered taking any action(s) that would give you an unfair advantage over other players. Examples of cheating include: unapproved running client mods or hacked clients, especially those which allow you to generate items/In-game currency easier or faster than otherwise possible; abusing server bugs (please report all bugs); using alt accounts to directly benefit your main account; using x-ray mods to search for ore.
Looting is prohibited inside and around player bases.
Looting is defined as taking items from chests, shulkers, etc. Do not loot items from inside or around player bases, no matter whether the player is inactive or if the player has not secured their chests, shulkers, etc.
You ARE allowed to loot items from Dungeons, Hidden Chests, and other server-controlled locations in the world.
Farming & Redstone
Redstone is a great challenge and ton of fun, but building redstone contraptions on a multiplayer server has another aspect all players need to consider: server performance. The follow rules are intended to allow all players to enjoy the server equally.
Build in moderation.
While our servers are very beefy, we are still constrained by the underlying architecture of the Minecraft Java server. Accordingly, we must ask that players reconsider building very large farms on our servers. We try to keep mob spawn rates aligned with Vanilla Minecraft, but massive mob farms could affect mob rates and performance all players, all over the server. Ask yourself if you really need 50 double-chests of melons or skeleton bones? If your answer isn't "no", then please check with staff before starting your build.
Do not create laggy contraptions.
Be considerate to your fellow players (and server admins) and avoid building laggy redstone contraptions, farms, etc. Building contraptions known to cause severe server lag will result in corrective action including being asked to modify the build, admins removing the contraption (without warning), or the player being banned (in repeat cases).
All redstone contraptions MUST have an off switch / lever / button and it must be clearly labelled.
No high-frequency clocks on contraptions.
Do not over-use hoppers in your builds.
Zero-tick farms are not allowed.
Zero tick farms are an unnecessary source of frame lag. Many zero-tick farms are already patched out of the game, but we wanted to state that we consider these to be a game exploit since items are generated much faster than a player could generate during normal gameplay.
This includes zero-tick fish farming.
Fish Farms are not allowed.
Fishing farms which use trap doors and/or noteblocks should not be used on our server due to how our anti-griefing protection works.
